Scope Clearon Corp. has a new Cost Accountant position created following our corporate acquisition. This position is responsible for general accounting activities, including the collection, validation and analysis of specific operational and accounting data. The Cost Accountant assists in daily postings, calculations, projections and reporting used by Plant management. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer. Major Responsibilities/Accountabilities Participate in the month end close and reporting process for the Plant. Prepare monthly variance analysis. Perform utility calculations and allocations. Participate in preparation of the annual Plant operating budget, including standard product cost development, cost center budgeting, volume analysis and raw material pricing. Support Plant projects as re quired. Assist with forecast and projections. Reconcile assigned General Ledger accounts on timely basis. Review and adjust accruals and recurring entries as appropriate. Assist with audit; prepare audit work papers. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. CPA a plus, but not required. Highly organized with ability to manage priorities and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization. Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications' particularly Microsoft Excel. Required Experience: 1 to 2 years' accounting experience preferred.
