Details: The Mississippi State Department of Health STD/HIV Office is recruiting an Accountant/Auditor IV Professional to perform professional accounting and auditing services for the agency's HIV treatment programs, which include multiple sub-recipients that provide care to individuals living with HIV/AIDS, a large medication assistance program, a high-volume public health clinic, and other program activities. The incumbent will: Create, manage and monitor program budgets. Collect data and process administrative accounts payable. Verify financial transactions. Apply professional accounting concepts to both routine and complex tasks. Assist in policy creation and implementation. Assist in writing grants and preparing reports. Assure compliance with State and Federal regulations. Work hours are from 8:00 am -5:00 pm/5 days per week. Overnight travel is infrequently required. Source: Career Builder - Accounting
