Tanterton Christian Fellowship, a small evangelical Baptist church, is seeking a part-time pastor to help lead the church through the next phase of change and doing things differently.
Located to the north of Preston (the church premises were built in 1989) most of our members play an active role in the life of the church, with regular groups for all ages. The congregation is mostly over 50 but with a number of younger families. We want to be a ‘light on the hill’ fellowship through friendship, caring and helping people find their way to God.
We are looking to appoint someone to this pastoral leadership role approximately 2 days per week. The new pastor will take responsibility for developing the preaching plan, assisting with pastoral care, embodying a collaborative leadership style, and leading the church through the next phase of change.
The church has active links in the local community and there are opportunities to develop intentional community engagement, building relationships with others in the community, helping church members to be outward looking and exploring creative and appropriate ways to share the gospel in the community. For the right person it might be possible to expand the role to a maximum of four days a week to cover both pastoral and community elements.
To get a full church and role profile and details of how to apply please email Ruth Cuthbert at church@tanterton.org.uk
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. The post will be subject to an enhanced DBS check. Stipend will be based on the standard Baptist Union stipend.
